The Elms is located within the popular and historic village of Houghton, which lies approximately 2 miles to the west of Huntingdon. There is direct access via the A1123 to the A1 north/south arterial trunk road. Local bus services provide regular services to Huntingdon, St Ives and Cambridge.
The heart of Houghton is situated in a conservation area, dominated by a village green, and benefiting from a range of local services – newsagents, grocers, public house, church, village hall, hairdresser, antique shop, playing fields and a primary school.
The site itself is situated in the south east corner of the village and is accessed from both Thicket Road and Home Farm Road.
